Steven to modify the API such that: datagram description should be disable PD. [Done] c. Stas will poll group on good time to meet at the Spring Member Meeting (same time or switch to breakfast). [Done] Re: the API, Steven released version 6 and added error codes, added a version of select(), added setsockopt() for disabling PMTUD, and minor edits. There is some text added re: reliable/unreliable sockets. Discussion re: maximum size for messages; Steven added a setsockopt to limit the message size. At this point, the group will review and provide feedback (substantive) by Monday, April 25. Steven will get a final draft to Stas & Susan in time for copies to be made/distributed at Spring Member Meeting. 2. Spring Member Meeting 2005 There will be two transport-related sessions: a track session on Tuesday, May 3 (3:00-4:00) and a WG meeting that evening (6-7:15). There was a scheduling problem; the time requested was 1.5 hours for the track session but only 1 hour was allotted. Susan to make 100 copies of the Design Space paper and 100 copies of the final draft of the API document for distribution at Spring Member Meeting. 3. Special Issue of Annals of Telecommunication Larry reports that he doesn’t have any particular knowledge of this group but he was intrigued by the announcement and felt it was a close match. Stas agreed that it was a `perfect match’ topic-wise but he’s not heard of the journal, the website was in French (with request for submissions in English), and he did not immediately recognize any of the names so he feels so he wasn't sure whether this would be the right venue. The group agreed that the paper should be submitted somewhere. Stas asked that someone with access to a reasonable library research this journal to see if it is archived; if it is an archived journal, we could package it up and send it off, and if not, we look for a different publisher. Susan to check with the UMich library to see if they subscribe to it, and find an archived version (Annals of Telecommunication). Lisong also agreed to research it (UNebraska). It was noted that the journal is `located’ in Lyon and that PFLDnet just hosted a conference in Lyon; Stas asked for volunteers to contact a PFLDnet sponsor to see if they know anything about the publisher. The group suggested Injong (not on the call at the time) be the contact person; Injong joined the call the next minute and agreed to do so, tactfully. Stas noted that the submission deadline is May 1 (Sunday). Group discussed possibly publishing at CCR or other more familiar journal -- the subject of the `Special Issue’ is a perfect match, but people are uneasy because it is an unknown journal. Injong wondered what the timeline would be for publication -- in whatever selected journal; Stas felt the paper was ready for publication but there was no rush to either get it printed or wait for more changes. 4. New Business No new business. 5. Administrative Issues Call in 2 weeks is canceled -- group will meet at the Spring Member meeting (3 days later); group will discuss publication of the paper, and other issues. ACTION ITEMS: a. All: Review the draft API Steven sent out (v.6.) and get comments to Steven by Monday, 4/25; Steven to revise, as necessary, and get a revised document to Susan by Wednesday, 4/27. b.
